mixer makeover (another silhouette vinyl project)

I've been giddy with ideas to use with my Silhouette machine--so much that I've even started covering the appliances with vinyl cut outs. (It's that whole husband hates vinyl on walls thing.)

When I bought this damask image, it was taller and skinnier, and wouldn't fit right on my KitchenAid mixer. So I used the Silhouette software to make it wider in about 1.2 seconds.

Now it's perfect. And my KitchenAid is oh-so-chic. It's what I imagine KitchenAids in Paris must look like.

Got some great Silhouette ideas of your own? Be sure to enter our giveaway--it ends on Thursday!

Hi, I'm a new follower...love what you've done to the mixer.
Sorry hubby isn't keen on vinyl on walls...you can still put vinyl words on a large board (or foam core from a craft store) to make your statement.

I was really excited to find your blog...so-o-o-o many wonderful ideas. Thanks for sharing!

until later...V

How fun! I really love the way that looks. My husband also hates vinyl on the walls. I keep expecting to come home some day to find my Eiffel Tower suddenly "coming off" the wall. :)

That is so unique! You've probably just started a trend. They be selling hip mixers at Bed Bath & Beyond this Christmas!

Oh gosh I want to do this soooo badly! Ever since I saw flames on Alton Brown's mixer, I've wanted to customize mine too. My Thor needs some embellishment! (Yes, I named my mixer Thor...I think it's completely appropriate for an professional grade mixer that sounds like a jet engine when it's running!)

This is precisely the sort of project I'd love to do if (when?) I win one of those wonderful things!

This is my favorite thing you've done so far. It jumps starts my imagination. Now I'm thinking... crock pots, fridges, stoves, planters... Basically, what don't I want decorated in vinyl?

I am amazed at all of the things you can do with one machine. I guess it is only limited by our imaginations.

hehe I have a PINK kitchen aide that my DH just thinks is the best thing EVER (okay so not really). Fancying it up as you did would just give it that extra wonderfullness (yes I just made up that word) LOL

Love it! I've always admired the flames on Alton Brown's mixer. If I had a Silhouette I could make some for mine! :D

That is such a neat way to use the vinyl. If I had a KitchenAid, I'd want it pretty, too.

Where do you get your vinyl from? I found Expressions Vinyl.com has tons to choose from and really great deals on Silhouette Vinyl.
