the five-minute feather headband

Look glam this holiday party season with a fun DIY headband. Turn a simple headband and feathers into an adorable feather hairpiece.

All you need is one plain headband, a feather patch, and a glue gun. I found this feather combo at MJ Trimmings in New York. You can also try your local craft store near the Mardi Gras masks and decorations. Forever 21 is a great place to find inexpensive headbands. Right now they have a package of 2 covered headbands (no teeth) for $1.50!

Simply hot glue the feather patch to your headband. To cover up some of the glue job, take a coordinating piece of felt to place on the bottom of the feather patch and sandwich the headband between the felt and the feather.

Simple, yet stylish.

Feathers come in so many colors and combinations you are sure to find one that will match your outfit. Imagine how cute your headband would be with any of these gorgeous feather patches. And since they only take about 5 minutes to make, you can glam up your look on your way out the door!

REally cute! I love this idea! I love putting flowers, bows, headbands and ribbon in my hair. I have never tried feathers. I will have to try it and show you what I come up with. Thanks!
