my sad, sad news

I have some sad news. No, no one is hurt or sick or anything. But I'm sad to report that I'm losing my job at Lasting Memories. The best scrapbook store in Washington state is closing! So now I don't have a great place to work OR buy scrapbook supplies! Boo hoo! You can read more about it in my blog post here. It's a wonderful thing for the owners, but a sad thing for the rest of us.

For you local friends, I know you'll be sad, too. Starting Monday we're having a huge sale--you know, everything must go! Come visit me and stock up on all the stuff you won't be able to find locally anymore at a great price. The store will be open 11-7, Mon-Sat until everything is gone. The cool thing is that we'll be getting brand new stuff over the next few weeks, and you'll be able to get it for 20% off or more.

Hope to see you soon!

Sorry to hear of your sad news. It is oftern hard to let go when change occurs. But as the old saying goes "One door closes ~ another door opens". I wish you all the best of luck and I hope the door that opens for you is full of wonderful adventures and takes you on a wonderous journey that you otherwise would not have taken. I may just be a blessing in disguise.
Enjoy the ride ;-)

I'm sorry for the loss of a favorite store. Seems like that happens more and more. But, it also sounds like a good thing for the owners and that's the way to go out. Good luck with your sales! Wish I weren't in Texas.

Oh that is sad :( Our wonderful scrapbook store closed a while back too, but someone bought it and re-opend in a new location last month! Maybe you'll get lucky.

That is sad news. It's great you put the word out though for your locals. Maybe you'll be able to buy sone great stuff at greatly reduced prices and habve a giveaway or create bundles to sell on etsy. That would be cool.

Oh no, poor you! but think about it this way - you and your colleagues have all these fantastic wholesale contacts - what about starting up something yourselves, even if it is only on-line. That way you get to 'keep' your job AND get all your crafting supplies!

Sorry to hear your sad news. I'm sure you don't want to hear this but I think you will move on to something good and maybe better.

My company closed almost a year ago and at the time I wasn't happy but I have gotten into some very exciting things since then!

Good luck!

This is sad news!!! It's a great store, and though it's a ways away, I've loved visiting it with a scrapbooking client.

I love your blog, but I'm not sure I've ever commented. I'm sorry to hear about your job and store! I hope the best for you.

I had no idea you were a local girl! I love that store and just found out this morning it was closing! I used to live a block away and would walk down there all the time. I will be in there tomorrow, gotta stock up. There's nothing like Lasting Memories on Whidbey Island!
