Are you counting down the days until the royal wedding? Ever since a woman at church told me I looked like Kate Middleton (wow, what a compliment!), I admit I've been looking forward to her big day. That's why I *loved* this darling book we received to review. It's called Knit Your Own Royal Wedding, and it is hilarious! The author, Fiona Goble, has created all the characters, from Prince William and Kate to the Queen to Prince Charles and Camilla. The smallest details are in their attire (think tiny medals on the mens' uniforms and Kate's famous engagement ring), and the book even includes a fold-out backdrop of Westminster Abbey so you can actually act out the wedding with your little characters. How fun is that? And the patterns are easy enough for a novice, so beginners can make these, too!
If you're a knitter, we have a surprise for you. We are giving away one copy of this darling book to one of our readers! Just leave us a comment with your favorite Royal by Monday, April 18 at 11:59pm PT. Get ready to help the Prince and Kate tie the knot!

Oh my gosh, that is too funny! And very cute.
That's so funny - I knit for a charity group here in the UK and we've just been having a giggle over this book. Several of our members have knitted Nativity sets but no-one has yet made these. Favourite Royal? We're British, so it has to be the Queen! annienicol (at) googlemail (dot) com
What a wonderful treasure! My favourite Royal is Queen Elizabeth and I am counting down the days! I made some wooden Will & Kate Royal Wedding cake toppers for my kids, but I think they would also enjoy knitted dolls too

What a neat book. Of course, my favorite Royal was Princess Diana. I still feel sad when I think of how her life ended so abruptly and how proud she would have been of her sons.
I have always been a fan of Princess Diana! would love to have this book! :)
That is such a cute book. I'm just learning how to knit and am looking forward to trying something a little more complex than a scarf.
My favorite royal has always been Richard III. Or Henry VIII. I guess I like the tragic ones.

That looks great!! And I thought it was just going to be union jack scarf or something. This is awesome. My favorite royal will have to HRH the QUEEN of course!
I have a soft spot for the Queen. I am in Canada, so she is right there on the back of every coin. I would really love a copy of this book. I think it is both cute and a little bit hilarious.
My favourite royal has to be princess Anne, the princess royal . She gets little or no attention and has achieved so much in her life.

Well I think it would have to be Harry, he looks a lot of fun! I have been thinking of going to the wedding, but no one wants to come with me. I went to Charles and Di's, camped out on the street from 5pm the day before, it was a lot of fun and a memory that will stay with me forever.
I like the Queen.

Prince William! When I was in high school I used to dream of going to England, meeting Wills, who would (of course) fall instantly in love with me, and living happily ever after!
These are hilarious! My favorite royal is William. Although those knitted Corgi dogs are pretty cute. :)
Do the corgis count? Otherwise I'll go with Queen Elizabeth and the dreaded purses.
