When I was working at Lasting Memories, I had a major wish-list item. I'll give you a hint. It cuts paper, vinyl, and heat transfer material, and you don't have to buy expensive design cartridges. If you guessed the Silhouette digital cutting machine, then you must have it on your wish list, too! If you have no idea what I'm taking about, prepare to be amazed. And to want one.
A few weeks ago, Silhouette sent me a free machine to try and review (I know--I've been dancing a little jig ever since!). I came home from Utah to this:
(Jiggety-jig!)
I spent the last year singing it's praises to customers in the scrapbook store, but now that I've had a chance to use the Silhouette myself, all I can say is that it really is AMAZING. I am full-fledged IN LOVE with this machine. Let me tell you why. No, let me show you why. Here is a sampling of some of the projects I've done since I received my machine (yes, I've been busy!):
I have so many great project ideas in my head for this tool, and I haven't even tried the glass etching cream, rhinestone templates, sketching pencils, or printable heat transfer material yet! Check out some more ideas here and on the Silhouette blog (which is incredible, by the way). There are tons of tutorials, FAQs, and great ideas on both sites. Here are a few things inspiring me:
The Giveaway
Okay, enough of my blabbering, here's the big news. Silhouette is letting us give away a FREE Silhouette SD cutting tool and a bunch of free accessories to one of our readers! (You should be doing a little jig about now, too!) Here's what our lucky winner will receive:
*Silhouette SD Digital Cutting Tool (retail price $299)
*Two rolls of vinyl
*One roll of transfer tape (for applying the vinyl images)
*A scraper tool (for applying vinyl)
*A CD of home décor images to cut
*$10 download card to buy new shapes on the Silhouette Online Store.
Are you kidding me? I really don't think we've ever hosted a giveaway this good before! This is seriously awesome, people! Here's what you have to do to enter. Visit the Silhouette Web site and check out all the great ideas and products. Then come back here and leave us a comment on this post stating how you would use the Silhouette if you won. That's it! Want extra chances to win? Link to this post on your blog or become a fan on our Facebook page, then leave us another comment letting us know and you'll get more entries! Just be sure to do it by Wednesday, July 14th at 11:59pm PT. And watch for new tutorials and ideas from me every day of the giveaway!

«Oldest ‹Older 2001 – 2158 of 2158Holy Cow! I need one of these, it isn't a want, it's a need! I could use this on so many things!!! Christmas Decorations, my little girl's clothes...
FB fan!!!! Can't wait for the winner to be announced!
Winning this would be a dream. Like I was a kid and I got to go to Disneyland. I am crossing my fingers and holding my breath. :)
I will be having a baby girl soon. I would love to use this for baby clothes, but I can think of so many other uses too. Looks like fun! :)
WOW!! I will be using it everywhere and on everything in our new house!! =D
Oh my golly, I have had a crush on the Silhouette for a long time. If I had one, what wouldn't I make? Probably first up, some adorable baby shower cards for my sister, some vinyl decals for EVERYTHING I OWN, Heat transfers...So many options! Thanks so much for the chance!!!
I'm also a Facebook fan! (Amanda Davis) Thank you!!
I would probably use the silhouette mostly for the vinyl projects BUT it looks so cool I am sure I could find a hundred uses for it too. I also became a FB fan so 2 entries should help me win.....he he.
I would use it to jazz up my scrapbooking. How cool would it be to win this?
easy peasy...getting ready to decorate my twins' bedroom...two 3 year olds with different likes...this would be so cool!!
Oh how I could count the ways I'd use the Silhouette... fabric, vinyl and paper oh my! This just might be my new obsession
OH MY GOODNESS...what a fantastic machine. I went to the site and thought the vinyl wall art was so chic...then I saw the book covers and thought how cool would that be for my daughter. Then I saw the heat transfers and thought of all the cute things I could make for people with them...but the cutest, most amazing thing was the RHINESTONES. I was never into them as they appeared messy and dangerous...but this machine would make it ideal for my 10 year old daughter and I to bling it up...and can you imagine what I could do to my hubby's boxers??
PLEASE PICK ME!!!!

My favorite would be the vinyl decor options, that makes it so different from other machines, but of course I would use it to scrapbook and little (or big) craft projects too.
I'm a FB fan!

This is amazing!!! I would definitely use it most for the vinyl onthe wall. I've been trying to find some decor for my house without breaking the bank and this looks perfect!
Love the custom art pieces, but then again there are endless possibilities with the totes. And oh all the cute baby gear!!! This would be the absolute best first timer prize to win for sure!
The silhouette looks so cool! I would definitely use it for home decor, fashion, anything I could get my hands on! We could then use it to make shirts for our Girl Scout Troop...fun fun fun!!!
I would use the Silhouette for vinyl sayings, fabric, making paper crafts, etc. At our church I am in charge of decorating for ladies things- Mother Daughter Banquet, Ladies Seminar, etc. I make about 100 cards a year for ladies things and also decorate bags for the wives of special speakers which we put bodywash, , hand sanitizer, etc. in. I am in charge of crafts for Vacation Bible School. A Silhouette would have saved me a LOT of time this year. And of course I also would use it for my own personal use- scrapbooking, vinyl sayings, etc.
Thanks!
Amy

First of all I would buy a fish just so I could name it Ernie and label his bowl. Next, the possibilities are endless. Fabric, wall hangings, name tags for everything, decorations in every room in my house. I can't wait!!!

I became a fan on Facebook. Looked for a long time and finally found that it is changed to "like" now. So I Like you, I really like you!
Holy cow!! I have a sneaking suspicion that everything in my house would be etched, embellished, and decorated via the Silhouette! My daughter would absolutely love to use it for her card-making crafts, too. How great would this win be?!!
I'm a fan on FB!
First, I would go nuts, and then have to calm down and get creative...I design custom wedding invitations and a machine such as this would sure help with all the monotonous cutting that makes those invitations beautiful. Also I would use it for cutting fabric for appliques and quilting, also transfers on Onsies and shirts for my little rugrats. Oh and card making and about a million other things! Thanks for the chance to win!
What would I use it on....What wouldn't I use it on it really the question. I would love to try fabric though and cut some appliques for an adorable baby quilt.

So many things I would love to do with the Silhouette! Def heat transfers fir my newborns onesies!
I just had a new baby girl and have been wanting to start a business for over a year with much of what the SILHOUETTE makes EASY hand making onesies, vinyl transfers, appliques.
I already design my own onesie pieces, but this would make it incredible. I live in the U.S. but my husband is GERMAN and I can't find anything in German for baby, sayings on outfits, or vinyl type things, plus Germany hasn't gotten the trend of all this, and
I hope to help provide that and get it going there too, as well as here with different language options too.
I have a ton of ideas, and will have the time and motivation with my little girl to CREATE, and CREATE! With having this new one, only a win gift of this would make this possible!
First thing I would use it on... FABRIC! (oh and vinyl)
I have been wanting to do our last name in Vinyl, and also decorate our very plain shower door. SOO many ideas.
Also I am a fan on Facebook!
Bluestartex@aol.com

Are you kidding? What wouldn't I use it for. I scrapbook and quilt. I have two little girls. I would probably first redecorate my girls' rooms. Then my craft studio - been wanting to put sayings up on my walls. Then I would decorate my kitchen - walls, plain dishes, cabinets could all use a little umph. Then I would buy plain clothes instead of the expensive ones and decorate them myself. And all in between I would be cutting custom things for my scrapbook pages and quilts. =D
This is fantastic! I think I would use it to create my own shirts with heat transfer! Love your review!

How in the world did I miss this giveaway. Oh man!
I would use this to scrapbook!
gifts, gifts, and more gifts... imagine all the fun stuff this would make... how about something a little selfish, like labeling all the canisters in my kitchen, or some t-shirts for my kids? fun!
