It's only February, so I can't give up on my resolution to get organized yet! So we continue with the craft closet makeover. I recently beefed up my button supply with a Papertrey Ink order. I LOVE their vintage button collections--the colors are amazing, and so are the prices! I love being able to see what I have in my stash, so I had to find something to show them all off.
I found these little jars for $1 each at Michael's. Seriously? $1? I know. I nearly cleaned out my Lynnwood store location. Don't they look pretty? You could easily dress up a jar like this for a cute and inexpensive gift for your crafty friends. I love these buttons for sewing and paper crafts. I am a button addict!

My one and only resolution is organisation too! A work in progress in my case....
Yes, those are the cutest little jars! Your organization looks amazing! Thanks for sharing the idea!
I think I'm gong to have to check out Papertrey Ink. I keep seeing great things by them like ribbons and buttons. Love the cute jars. So pretty.
They look fabulous!!! I tried doing this with mine, but ran out of jars after sorting throufgh all the colours and styles. You think you're a button addict? You should see my collection!!!
oooooo sooo pretty. I just got a large jar like that for .25 cents at a second hand store. It came with some real vintage buttons in it too. I love buttons but sometimes they are expensive.
Oh my gosh I have to same thing! $1 jars from Michaels!! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE how fun and colorful they look in my craft room sitting up on their appointed shelf! I organized them that way about 2 years ago and I haven't had any notion to try it differently! I think I've got a winner!!
My name is Lucy and I am a button addict! I thought I was the only one :o) Love your little jars - great for seeing the buttons in all their twinkly colourful glory. Must get mine out of their dark rusty tins! Lucy (Founder Member of BAA - Button Addicts Anonymous) x
Baby food jars and votive candle holders work well also. Think I have enough?

Ooooo...makes me want to organizemy crafty stuff and buy tons of colorful buttons
Love this idea! It's such a great display too.
So simple. So Cute. You've inspired me, and in doing so have given me a project to keep my eight year old twins busy for an afternoon while seperating 4 big tins of buttons. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Looks cute. I might go load up on those jars, too. I was looking for that type jar at Christmas for holding a homemade sugar scrub. Wish I'd found them at that price back then. :^)
I am a button FREAK! I had no idea until one day when I was compelled to buy this bag of buttons - that's when "the fat lady sung" so to speak. I use baby food jars to store my buttons and I have to say, to stack them, line them up, roll them around, shake them, whatever, can be like therapy at time! love your jars!
Those are dang cute jars, I did the same thing with babyfod jars. Can't pass up free, even though your jars are better.

love it. really cute idea for a craft room or kids room even.
I'm addicted to buttons too! I have a big huge jar of all of them and have been thinking of a cute way to organize them. This just may be the winning idea!
What a great idea for storing your adorable buttons! Looks great :D
I am a Huge button addict! And I Love PTI's button offerings!! I have mine in small jars too...different ones though. But, I'll have to keep my eye out for these for little gifts as they would be really fantastic. Great share! :>
The obsessive compulsive in me desperately wants my buttons colour coded, all my girlfriends laughed at me!!! But I'm saving any small glass jars so I can sort them.
Very cute idea! I LOVE your blog, and I'm soooo going to JoAnne's today. ;)
Ohhhh I remember what I said now! My name's Amy and I'm a button-aholic! I have mine in a clear section-y tray, but they might have to be transferred into jars, yay! thanks for stopping by my blog :D
I just put a little twist on your knee-high socks leg warmers. Check it out here:

Alrighty - I went to Michaels in Iowa in search of these jars - and didn't find any... booo. Where in the store were the located? With canning stuff?

Okay, the location of the jars in the store was WAY random. They were on a shelf back by the wood stuff. You know, the plain wood shapes you can paint or cover or whatever. I was there getting clothespins for my ribbon when I spotted them. Score!
Yes - thanks I will check that spot. Yea I looked by the canning stuff and there wasn't even a spot for them so I knew I must have had it wrong.
I too an in love with buttons. I have the same jar set up in my craft room. It's great because I can see them all and be constantly inspired.
Another great supplier of buttons is Mariiam on etsy. Here is the link to her shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/mariiam
I did a bit piece on buttons on my blog as well a few months back. Here is the link: http://silverbluedesigns.blogspot.com/2009/09/button-button-whos-got-button.html
