ribbons and bows oh my! giveaway

Have you visited one of our fabulous sponsor sites lately? Ribbons and Bows Oh My! is a great site. I mean...they sell gorgeous ribbon and other similar items, what more do you need to know? Here is a little bit about the story of how this wonderful business got started.


The story of Ribbon and Bows Oh My! began in 2002, when company founder Jennifer Huinker bought $50 worth of denim grosgrain ribbon and sold it on Ebay, turning a small profit. A "stay-at-home" mom, Jennifer was interested in a business which would allow her the flexibility of operating from her home and keeping her own work schedule. Jennifer's husband and co-founder Paul ran a carpet cleaning business, but began to help Jennifer process and ship orders in the evenings. In February, 2003, the Huinkers officially formed their new company, selected the name "Ribbon and Bows Oh My!" (or RABOM) and began selling ribbon and related products on Ebay.

Initially operating from their kitchen table, Paul and Jennifer were able to increase the business and shortly moved into a 1500-sq ft building with five employees. Business growth really began to accelerate when RABOM went on line with a dedicated website in 2006. Recognizing the potential of RABOM, Paul sold the carpet business and committed full time to the ribbon trade.

I just love that story! And I also love the products. Look at this glitter ribbon. It comes in all sorts of lovely colors. Being the only girl in my house means I need a little sparkle from time to time.
The metallic shimmer ribbon also looks fabulous. I might need to buy some soon.

    I would love love love some velvet ribbon. When I was a child my mom would always tie velvet ribbons in my hair and I had them in every color. They really bring back many memories for me and I would love to put them in my girls hair.

    I, honestly, cannot pick my favorite type of ribbon! The glitter, the grosgrain, they are all my favorite :-) My craft room is overrun with ribbon, I use it in everything!

    Oh my gosh! I don't have a favorite because they're all so cute, but if I had to choose I'd say maybe the pre-made corker ribbons because I hate making them myself!     ok, this is a fantastic giveaway! not that I "need" any ribbon....my husband would flip if he knew I was entering a "ribbon giveaway" hahaha....however, there are much worse things! I truly love them all, but think the "Glitterific" ribbons are gorgeous!!! That... I have none of in my ribbon stash! Thanks for the chance to win :)

    Wow, their selection is HUGE! It's impossible to choose only one favorite, all ribbons are fantastic! I really like the Blackberry Tartan but the Williamsburg/Gold is so pretty too!

    I am totally dying right now! They have so much cute ribbon!!!! I love the printed double ruffle and I think I need all the Halloween ribbons, but what I really need is the rocket ribbon.     How is someone supposed to choose from that collection?! Although, I do especially love the Chocolate Strawberry Ribbon Collection and all of its coordinating items. And the crochet headbands. And the cotton flowers and ... Alright, like I said, how is someone supposed to choose?

    I think I'd pick the stretch grosgrain in magenta (although it is out of stock, just my luck, lol). It is simple compared to all the other lovelies on their site, but it is perfect for making headbands for my three daughters.

    I don't know that I can pick just one item that I love. I love that they have everything in one place. They have cute ribbon, accessories, and hardware to make many different projects. I guess I would say my favorite thing is the ribbon collections. It gives you a great idea of what goes together and takes the guess work out of trying to find all the different element.

    I love the glamour ribbon. I watched the no-sew tu-tu directions on the site and thought that the glamour ribbon was beautiful. When I went and looked at the selection it really sunk in that it was only 10 cents a yard!!! Beautiful and a great value!
