We loved these little favors our friend Stacy is making for her family on Thanksgiving. Plus they can make quick and easy place cards!
Create tiny maize favors with corn husks used for making tamales (find them in the hispanic food section at most grocery stores), a small plastic bag, raffia, and yellow, orange, and brown candies (like Reese's Pieces) to look like dried corn.
Fill the bag with candies and seal it. Place it the near the bottom-center of the corn husk. Wrap the sides of the husk around the candy bag and tie a small piece of raffia or twine at each end of the bag, covering up the ends.
To use these mini corn cobs as place cards, tie a small piece of paper with your guest's name printed or written on it to each one and place in the middle of the plate. Absolutely adorable.
What a great, simple yet affective Idea...not that we do Thanksgiving....but there is always BBQ Summers....we hope

Love the Thanksgiving favors! I made a bunch of 'life' sized ones last year for my sons class... his birthday is on Nov 28 and so we used 'maize' colored jelly beans and handed them out with a little ditty about being 'Thankful' for their friendships. Huge hit!
