bedroom makeover sneak peek with csn.com
We had a relaxing last-weekend-before-school-starts with my in-laws. My favorite part was our day trip to Vancouver. What an amazing city! Here we are in front of the aquarium.
But I have to say, having my mother-in-law in town to go shopping with was almost better. We're trying to sell our house, so I've got a few little home decor projects going on, and it's always nice to have someone to bounce ideas off (especially when they have great taste!). Here's a sneak peek of what we put together for my bedroom makeover--a few new things and some handcrafted details. More details coming soon. . .
Our friends at CSN.com are giving me a nice gift certificate to help round off the room. I'm going to need new sheets, a curtain rod, pillow shams, and maybe a mirror or new lighting. Or maybe I should be looking at updating my dining table. I admit it--I freely craft on my dining room table, and recently I noticed how bad it looks. I have to keep a tablecloth on it constantly to hide the dents, scratches, and patches of glue. I'm terrible. Good thing it was inexpensive to begin with. This would be a fine replacement. Perfect for my little place.
What would you use a gift certificate to CSN.com for? You can search over 200 stores on one site, so make sure you have more than a few minutes to browse! Leave us a comment and maybe we can convince CSN to offer a gift card to one of our readers next!
A new stroller, we just had baby 5, and I would love a sit n stand or even a regular double stroller
ReplyDeleteHaving a gift card to help buy a new bed for our son would be fabulous. He is growing so fast that he can't stretch out without his feet hanging over the edge.
ReplyDeleteHope your makeovers go well.
You should go to the knock-off wood blog and build your own table!
ReplyDeleteI need a kitchen table, and some nice accents for our soon to be made over master bedroom. There are so many options, that it would be hard to choose. I like to think that I would manage:)
ReplyDeleteI need a new bedding set because with a puppy, well ours is not so pretty anymore. I absolutely love this:Blissliving Home Amanda Green Duvet Collection - Amanda Green Duvet Collection
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see all that you do.
I would definitely use a giftcard for a dining room set similar to what you showed. We're still using a hand-me-down table and metal folding chairs (and we've been married six years!).
ReplyDeleteI've ordered a toddler bed from one of CSN's stores and we were super happy with the price and quality. I love their home decor and outdoor products!

Wow--this was my first opportunity to visit CSN--what a wide range of products. Being unemployed these days, I wonderful how I am going to Christmas shop for my little grandson. I just saw some awesome ride on toys I am sure he would love. I am making my gifts for everyone else on my list.
ReplyDeleteSo many choices! But I definately think I would use it for bedroom things too - my room needs it!
ReplyDeleteOH! How I would die! Everything in my house could use a serious lift! But, really most in need is our bedroom. There is no lush, no comfort, no relaxation. Absolutely no design. Nothing on the walls, no curtains....basically a bed stuck in the middle of the room that has an ugly torn yellow comforter and 2 dressers. How I could use a serious lift at the end of a long day with my 3 children (+ new one to come)! It'll always be last on the list! :> Send some love my way, pleaaase! Thanks!
ReplyDeletei love csn, just fyi.
ReplyDeleteI would love to get a dehydrator!

Recognized the aquarium pic right away! That's home for us - we have a membership and go 3 or 4 times a year. My kids love it there. Vancouver is indeed a fabulous city!!! Hope you enjoyed yourself and had some good weather. It's POURING here today.
ReplyDeleteI would get a new wall clock. Our old one was too loud we couldn't sleep with it ticking!
ReplyDeleteI featured you today over at Sassy Sites. Come by and grab a featured button! :) I love your blog!!
ReplyDeleteLove the sneak peeks of what you've choosen for your bedroom...and LOVE that table! I totally need a new dining table & chairs too.
ReplyDeletei would revamp the pots and pans in my kitchen. how long are wedding presents supposed to last?
ReplyDeletea new bedroom set for sure!
ReplyDeleteI added myself to follow your blog. You are more than welcome to visit mine and become a follower if you want to.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless You ~Ron
We need a "grown up" bedroom!! We have been married for almost 9 years and still have a sparse, mismatched bedroom. Matching bedding, beautiful lamps, luxurious looking drapes... would go a LONG way in there!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the new room.
ReplyDeleteOooh ... I'd never heard of csn before. Might be trouble!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed visiting Vancouver. We love it here ... and we visit the aquarium all the time! I'm sure I've spent a few bucks letting my 3 year old toss coins into the whale fountain!
I just got the same pottery barn comforter cover!! Love it, but I also need pillow shams and can't wait to see what you come up with to inspire me. I have no clue what CSN store is, but I would probably have no trouble buying something there! :)
ReplyDeleteI just got the same pottery barn comforter cover and I also need pillow shams. Can't wait to see what you come up with to inspire me to get something done. I'm not familiar with CSN so I don't know what I'd buy, but I bet it wouldn't take me long to figure it out! Probably new lamps for my bedroom.
ReplyDeleteI just love CSN!! I love all their purses---and shoes! I just got the cutest BAGGALINI from them! LOVE IT! I would order a pasta dish for my kitchen...I need to stop thinking of me and start cooking for my husband:)
ReplyDeleteToward a bedding set!
ReplyDeleteI am with you, I would get a dining room table. Just the thought of having matching chairs makes me smile. :)
ReplyDeletei would buy shelving to store my fabric in a neater way.
