I love making hair accessories for my girls. Unfortunately, this love for hair bows and clips has made quite a mess in the bathroom. I am finding the clips and bows everywhere. I finally broke down and made a hairbow holder. You may have seen these on other blogs. They are quite popular, but that's because they are so necessary. This little holder keeps them in one place. And it looks cute in the bathroom!
This was super easy to make. I just purchased a frame I liked and adhered coordinating cardstock to the glass. I then cut three pieces of matching ribbon and with a hot glue gun attached it to the back of the glass.
Now, all I have to do is slip the bows onto the ribbons for an adorable and functional piece.
That is brilliant, I've not seen one before. It looks gorgeous and so useful too.
ReplyDeleteadorable idea!
ReplyDeleteVery cute idea.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I´m going to link from my web because my readers would like this idea too.
ReplyDeleteLove this idea - I was just wondering what I was going to do with all the hair clips we've accumulated!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I have all my daughter's hairbows hanging from a cloth ribbon in my closet. She's expecting our first grandbaby in June. If it's a girl I'll have to drag out all those bows and make this pretty display.
ReplyDeletei LOVE it- such a cute GREAT idea!!!!! LOVE the frame too and the paper... I could go on and on :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for always inspiring us!

ReplyDeleteI wish my daughter wore hair accessories so I could make one !

Thanks for sharing ! :)
Awesome! And perfect timing . . . I was thinking about making one of these but not sure how to start. Do you have a tutorial on how to make the bows, too?

I saw something like this on another blog and decided it was a MUST for my little one and my soon tobe great niece. However, I was under the impression you put the ribbon around covered mat board, cardboard, whatever board. Now, I'm wondering which would be best. Hmmm, decisions, decsions. Love the bows BTW :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea---How did you learn how to make the bows?? I would love to learn.
ReplyDeleteSounds like we need to do a hairbow tutorial in the future :) If you all want, I would be happy to put one together.

ReplyDeleteYes a bow band is a bow attached to a soft circle headband but I have yet to figure out how to organize them. Since I make bows and clips to sell you can imagine the stock we have in my house! :o)
ReplyDeleteLOVE this! My daughter has HUNDREDS of bows! I might get a poster frame and do this with that for all of her hair "goodies" :)
